Passport Collection Hours: 1500 to 1700.

All applicants applying for Tourist, Business, Transit & all Long term visa's are advised to book an appointment to submit their Italy visa application It is mandatory for all applicants to take an online appointment in order to submit their application at the Joint visa application Centre.

What is a first time traveler?
A first time traveler is a person who has never visited a Schengen country previously.

NOTE: Applicant could always be requested to appear for an interview. The consulate reserves the right to ask for further documentation.

Please note that Consulate General of Italy,Dubai , Dubai issues visas only for residents in its territory of operation - Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, Ras - Al- Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman & Umm - Al - Quwain.

If you are traveling to Italy for business, studies, or other reasons please read the information sheets for each category carefully. Only applications with complete documentation can be processed by Consulate General of Italy,Dubai .

Avoid the last minute disappointment

Due to the high volume of applications the Consulate has restricted the number of applications and interview appointments inorder to provide you a better service.
Kindly anticipate this delay in application process and plan your travel well in advance. Applicant’s lack of planning will not be a priority to the Consulate

  • It is advisable to prepare all your required documents corresponding to your travel dates, to avoid delay in the application process.

  • Visa Application Centre procedure is not compulsory, applicants can also go directly to the visa section at the Italian Consulate in Dubai to submit their applications with prior appointment through the call center 04 3764100.

Procedures
(a) For Schengen Visas ( C Type)
Once received by the JVAC, applications will be sent to the Consulate General of Italy ,Dubai the next working day & the applicant will be given an appointment for a personal Interview ( if applicable) with the Consulate General of Italy ,Dubai. Once the assessment is completed by theConsulate General of Italy the decision together with the passport & the other relevant documents will be available for collection from the JVAC.

Note: The processing time for assessment of a Schengen visa at the Consulate Genaral of Italy varies according to the nationality of the applicant and the period of the year in which the application is given - summer period being the slowest - going from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of a month.

Applicants lack of Travel plan will Not fall on Consulate Priority to process your visa. It is advisable to plan your travel well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

(b) For Long Term Visas (D Type)
Once received by the JVAC, applications will be sent to the Consulate General of Italy, the next working day & the applicant will be given an appointment to visit Consulate General of Italy,Dubai in order to collect the decision together with the passport & the other relevant documents.

* Mandatory interview for all long stay visa categories. Applicants are requested to schedule their interview at the time of submission of application at the JVAC.

Note: The processing time for assessment of a Long stay visa at the Consulate General of Italy ,Dubai varies according to the nationality of the applicant and the period of the year in which the application is given - summer period being the slowest - going from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of a month.


It is advisable to check the status of the application only after the average processing time.
